The government of Karnataka and VIBHA Charitable Trust Dr Vishnuvardhana 62 ‘Januma Dina’ began at Chitrakala Parishat in a meaningful way on Sunday morning.

It was inauguration of 650 photographs of Dr Vishnuvardhana personal, professional life photographs exhibition in a spectacular style at the ground floor of Chitrakala Parishat, secondly it was Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial Lecture by Padmasri Dr Girish Kasaravalli with Dr Baraguru Ramachandrappa presiding over the function.

Three heroines Thara Anooradha, MLC and KCA President now, Sudharani and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy lighted the lamp to make a beginning for the event.

Nele Vasudha children recited the Shanthi Mantra before lighting the lamp. At the welcome address Anirudh, son in law of Dr Vishnuvardhana explained the photo exhibition that is a journey of icon. As part of the Pune Film Institute branch coming up in Bangalore and that would get the name of Dr Vishnvuardhana for it – a lecture series has commenced from today on the 100 years of Indian cinema stated Anirudh.

As the lecture from Dr Girish Kasaravalli began Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, SV Rajendra Singh Babu, Shivaramanna, Dr Baraguru Ramachandrappa, KG Somasekhar who inaugurated the photo exhibition of Dr Vishnuvardhana were on the dais.

Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana presented bouquets to the guests on this occasion. Ramesh Bhat, Bhasker, family members of Dr Vishnuvardhana, Muralidhar Halappa, Manu Chakravarthy were present at the meaningful event on Sunday morning.
